After waiting nearly six months, I finally have Fuzz back in stock. Wool, mohair, and nylon for the perfect combination of softness, strength, and color.
It's great for socks and accessories, but one of the knitting world's best designers -- Caitlin Hunter -- also used this base for her Tegna sweater design (in the Love Struck Baby colorway). I think this had to have been one of the most popular patterns last summer, and it seamed like nearly every other person at Rhineback in October was sporting one for the unusually hot temperatures. Mind you, it IS mohair and wool, so not exactly cool and breezy, but the short sleeves, cropped body, and lace details truly evoke a relaxed summer weekend style. I also have plans to knit a linen version soon (using Quince and Co. Sparrow ).
Since I had been waiting so long for this base to get back in stock, I went a little crazy this week and dyed up all the Fuzz. Here's a breakdown of what will be in the update. There will also be some other bases and colors if I have a few extra minutes today.
Fuzz: Wychwood, Love Struck Baby, Cloak and Dagger, Wildwood Flower, Pale Persuasion, Doune, Mushroom Patch. Coincidentally, all these colors look amazing together, so they would be great for a stripey project like the Timely Cardigan by Truly Myrtle (aka Libby Jonson).
Timely Cardigan by Libby Jonson. Wouldn't this be lovely in Wildwood Flower and Love Struck Baby? Or perhaps Doune and Cloak and Dagger? So many choices...
