Note: Dyed plant fibers are known to bleed more in the wash than animal fibers. I have washed and rinsed each skein, but there still might be some bleeding. I suggest washing separately from other colors for at least the first few washes to avoid color transfer to other garments.

Penelope is a blend of linen and cotton made up into a chainette construction, which creates an almost braided appearance to the strand. Plant fibers are notoriously stiff to work with, but this construction gives the yarn a bit more elasticity, making it easier on the hands. This yarn can also be machine washed and dried, which will soften the fibers, making it the perfect and easy-to-care-for option for little summer cardigans to wear over sleeveless dresses and tops. It would also be great for wraps and shawls.
